Ida Ottersen

Graduate student

I am a psychology masters student at the University of Oslo. I am currently working on my thesis, exploring ways in which people’s meat consumption can be reduced with the use of informational messages about animal welfare, environmental and health related consequences of meat. Additionally, social attitudes, values and motivations will be measured to explore how they relate to environmental behavior.I am also interested in the fields of cultural and community psychology, particularly in exploring how psychological knowledge and practice can function both as a barrier and facilitator for positive social change.
