Graduate Student
I am a student from Norway pursuing a dual degree in clinical psychology (professional-track program) and an MA in philosophy at the University of Oslo. My academic interests include the philosophy of psychiatry, philosophy of science, moral psychology, and the psychology of judgment, political forecasting, and decision-making.
Under the supervision of Jonas R. Kunst, I am writing my MA thesis in psychology on the relationship between good judgment and political decision-making. Specifically, we are testing whether political judgments can be improved through learning and applying evidence-based epistemic methods. With funding from the Science and Democracy research group at the University of Oslo, we are organizing a political forecasting tournament to examine this. Using a novel experimental design, we aim to assess whether these methods can be effectively learned and applied in a cost-efficient manner. Additionally, we seek to investigate the relationship between judgments and normative political beliefs, the predictive accuracy of frontier LLMs, and ways to enhance the accuracy of official Norwegian reports.
