I am a student of Clinical Psychology (M.Sc.) and a psychotherapist in training in Western Germany. My main research interests lie in mental health factors among minorities in Germany. According to the Being Black in the EU – Experiences of People of African Descent report, Germany had some of the highest rates of harassment and discrimination. Racism is considered a form of minority stress, which negatively impacts mental health. However, there is very little psychological research that provides insight into the mental health of the Black population in Germany. This is where my main research interest lies, and I hope to contribute to generating a deeper understanding of Black experiences and mental health in the context of German society.
