Saranya Manoharan

Graduate Student

Saranya is a graduate of psychology from University of Madras, India.  For her undergraduate thesis, she studied gender stereotypes among school students in Chennai. Later she led sessions for a gender sensitization programme for children in India for two years. She is currently pursuing a Erasmus Mundus joint master’s degree in the psychology of global mobility, inclusion and diversity in society (Global-MINDS). Her master’s thesis explores the effect of an awareness intervention on attitudes to modern slavery. She is interested in the social psychological mechanisms underlying prejudice and discrimination, with a view to improving intergroup relations
